Of course, our next destination must be this university!!!

This university is built on 1944 and the first architecture university in Taiwan...

This university has an open presentation area which is located in the centercourt of the campus...

Thus, during presentation, it will expose to the public and let the juniors to learn something from their seniors and the seniors also will become more confident and not afraid of the crowd during presentation...

As you can see, this university uses a lot of natural daylighting to illuminate the interior and save energy... They also use the wooden block as the decoration for the wall... And, the library has open presentation area as well...

Here are the works of the students display...

this is the 三太池... and is considered as environmental friendly pond o... as de water used to be filtered and reuse for gardening purpose...

Then, we went to visit the lecturers' office...

Later, we proceed to another destination...树屋

It was used to be part of 德記洋行 but was abandoned later... and was surrounded by 榕树...

this place is renovated n reopened as one of the visitors' landmark!!!

Day 5

It was 25th of May...

Well... today's journey is to 莺歌...
The first station that we went was 陶瓷博物馆...

From the building itself, it is easy to identify the style - Minimalisim

This building's architect admires Tadao Ando so much, thus this building has the style of him. It is simple, not much decoration, sincere and honest to the public...

From the interior view, we can see that the solid-void space is very obvious...

And, of course, the use of passive design in this building...
skylight features is used for the whole building...

There is also the use of pin joint for the cladding system...
Besides, this architect also very sensitive to the design...
Every floor tiles were installed to the floor nicely until they do not need to cut the tiles due to the wall...

Here are some interesting products that are exhibited in this buildings...

and, many many more...

For more information, you can click on this link to the ceramic park website
ceramic park

Later, we went to the 陶瓷老街...

this bridge pavement is said to be related to the site of old shophouses...

In here, there are many old shophouses... especially the ceramic shops...
but in one shop, it sells the sweets and drinks that resembles the past... n let me remember of my childhood time...lol

'Aunty" was searching for things... lol

Even the lamp post is also so artistic...
then, we went to 三峡...

Here we were, in the Taiwan's 龙山寺...
It is considered as a famous 清水祖师公庙 in Taiwan...

In 1899, it was burned...
and, in 1947, it was rebuilt...

It is considered as the "鸟庙" and we have “蛇庙" in malaysia...

In the process of rebuilt, there were many artists came for the sculpuring the detailing parts for the buildings...

Instead of using wood as the material for doors, they used iron as it need not maintenance...

All the details for the columns, beams, walls, and roofs have their own story telling... and, this is more on inculcating good morals values to those who visit this temple...

It is said that we have to enter from left and come out from right... center part is not allowed to be accessed...

We were told that at here, there were thousands types of birds were crafted as the details for the building...

The use of timber for this impressive roof details... It is said it resembled the sea weed and thus, it doesn't affraid of fire...
We went back to 三峡老街 for a walk again...
These shops are really very beautiful... i can feel atmosphere at here...

this is quite a cute cow... n the shop is selling '牛角'... n i think it's quite tasty too... lol

Finally, we went to 元智大学...

The surrounding here is really perfect... WHAT A NICE PLACE FOR STUDYING!!!
If only Malaysia has such kind of environment... haizzzz...

It even has many sculptures to be displayed at here...
Then, we went back...
